Convert the Box to an Editable Poly (Right-click > Convert To > Convert To Editable Poly) or add an Edit Poly modifier. Go into Edge selection mode (shortcut: "2") and select all four corner edges.
Chamfer the selected edges 2.75 units.
Switch to Polygon selection mode (shortcut: "4") and select the top polygon.
